Hahn has signed on to be part of the biggest ever season of Australian golf, the PGA of Australia announced today.

The partnership aims to establish Hahn Premium Light as the beer of golf, with the PGA providing support for the brand across its various communication channels.

The affiliation incorporates involvement with two of this summer’s biggest golf tournaments, the Emirates Australian Open and PGA Championship presented by Coca-Cola, as well as with the PGA’s Centenary program that gets underway today.

Hahn Premium Light will be recognised as the Official Beer for the abovementioned tournaments and will be served, along with other Hahn brands (Hahn Premium, Hahn Super Dry & Hahn Super Dry 3.5) within corporate hospitality areas.

Hahn Premium Light, Hahn Super Dry and Hahn Super Dry 3.5 will also have a presence within public facilities at the Australian Open and PGA.

Ralph Simpson, Brand Director said -

“We’re really excited about this partnership as we know that golf has always been a sport that appeals to Hahn Premium Light drinkers. We believe this partnership will benefit not just our brands but also the PGA, the golf clubs and of course the many golfers who can enjoy the great range of beers under the Hahn brand.”

Brian Thorburn, Chief Executive Officer of the PGA said he was pleased to welcome Hahn on board at such an important time for Australian golf.

“There is great alignment between our two companies and we are very pleased to be able to work with Hahn during our Centenary year,” said Thorburn.

“The Australian golf market has gone relatively untapped in recent times and through this, the biggest season of Australian golf for many years, we are committed to demonstrating the true potential of golf for this and indeed future seasons to come.”

Stephen Pitt, Chief Executive Officer of Golf Australia said about the new partnership;

“This is a landmark year for the Emirates Australian Open and we’re pleased to have Hahn on board for Australia’s most prestigious championship.”
