This website is owned by Sport Biz Insider ABN 50 016 571 526 (“SBI”). Please read these terms and conditions carefully before accessing or using the information and services available through ‘SBI’ website (the “Site”) as, by accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by them. SBI may modify these terms and conditions at any time, and such modifications are effective immediately the modified terms and conditions are posted on the Site.
Advice and Information
The advice and information contained within this website is of a general nature and is not intended to constitute or replace professional advice for individual or specific conditions. You also acknowledge and agree that SBI is not liable for any decision made or action taken by you or anyone else in reliance upon any information contained on the Site.
If the Site provides links to Internet sites maintained by third parties, SBI is not responsible for the contents (including the accuracy, legality or decency) of any linked site or any link contained in a linked site. SBI is providing these links to you only as a convenience, and the inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by SBI of the linked site. You also acknowledge and agree that SBI is not liable in any way for any information or service provided by any third party.
SBI does not guarantee that your use of the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free. SBI does not guarantee that files available for downloading through the Site or delivered via electronic mail through the Site will be free of infection or viruses, worms, Trojan horses or other potentially harmful code. You are responsible for maintaining a means external to the Site for the reconstruction of any of your data which is lost.
Log-in and Account Information
To register to receive weekly updates by email, you must provide your email address.
To become a fully registered user of the site, you must provide the detailed information requested. As part of your registration, you will be asked to provide a login name and password and you are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login name and password. You are also fully responsible for any and all activities that occur under your login name. You must immediately notify SBI of any unauthorized use of your login name or any other breach of security of which you become aware.
SBI takes all due care to ensure the privacy and integrity of the information you provide. However, it is possible that this information could be unlawfully viewed by a third party while in transit over the Internet or while stored on SBI’s Site and, if this should happen, SBI disclaims all liability to you to the greatest extent it is permitted to do so under the law.
SBI may cancel any account in its sole discretion.
Copyright in the material and trademarks on this Site are owned by SBI unless otherwise indicated and you agree not to infringe any intellectual property rights owned by, or licensed to, SBI.
You agree that information contained on this Site is for personal use only and may not be sold, redistributed or used for any commercial purpose. You may not modify, copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit or distribute in any way any material from this Site. You must not use this Site for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms and conditions. You may not use any data gathering and extraction tools on this Site for reproducing information contained on our Site on your own website or in any other publication, except where you have obtained our prior written consent.
Submission of News/Features/Opinion
SBI has absolute discretion when deciding whether or not to publish on the Site any information, press releases or news items (“Item”) provided to SBI for inclusion on the Site or whether to publish the Item together with a commentary and/or disclaimer attributed to SBI. In particular, SBI may decide to publish a cut-down version of the Item.
You may submit an Item to SBI via firstname.lastname@example.org for SBI to review and, in its sole discretion, decide whether that news item is suitable for editing and/or publication on the Site.
SBI does not endorse or recommend any of the jobs or self-employment opportunities advertised on its Site. It is your responsibility alone to evaluate the accuracy, completeness and usefulness of all opinions, advice, services and other information provided through the Site. SBI recommends that you obtain your own independent advice before entering into any agreement with any of the Advertisers on the Site.
SBI gives no guarantee to you of the continued availability of any particular job advertised on the Site and will not be liable to you should an advertiser have filled the vacancy at any time prior to removal of the advertisement from the Site. SBI also gives no guarantee to you that any job advertisement on the Site represents an actual job vacancy.
It is a condition of any service provided by SBI or through the Site that you will not do anything (such as posting your resume on the Site) or fail to do anything which may mislead or deceive others.
Any events advertised on the Site is offered by the event organiser whose contact details are listed in the relevant advertisement. SBI does not offer any event services and does not carry out any part of the booking process for any event provider.
Any education advertised on the Site is offered by the education provider whose contact details are listed in the relevant advertisement. SBI does not offer any education services and does not carry out any part of the application process for any education provider.
Without prejudice to anything else set out in these terms and conditions, SBI does not endorse, recommend, warrant or guarantee any product or service offered by any business listed in the directory or any event listed on this area of the Site.
For each online advertisement, the advertiser must submit the creative work together with a click-through URL to SBI at least 3 working days before the scheduled publication date for the online advertisement. Files of creative work must be in of the following size and in the following format: Flash (39K) with backup GIF/JPG (39K) OR GIF/JPG only. Other file types and sizes may only be submitted where agreed by SBI in advance.
Rates for online advertising shall be agreed with each advertiser and may vary from the rates listed on the rate card which rates SBI reserves the right to vary at any time without notice.
A maximum of eight (8) online advertisements will be rotated at each available position for online advertising on the Site.
All Advertisers (including all Online Advertisers) on the Site are also bound by the following terms and conditions:
Except as otherwise stated, advertisers will be invoiced for each job that is listed, or advertisement published, on the Site on their behalf. All amounts owing to SBI must be paid within 14 days of the date of invoice. GST is payable by Advertisers in addition. SBI may charge Advertisers interest on late payment at the rate of 12.5% per annum and reserves the right to charge back any collection costs incurred to the Advertiser. If an Advertiser fails to pay any invoiced amount by the due date then, without limiting any rights or remedies which it has under these terms and conditions or as a matter of law, SBI may remove all advertisements and any other information posted by that Advertiser on the Site.
If the Advertiser wishes to cancel any Advertisement, written notice of cancellation must be received by SBI at least 30 days before the publication date. SBI reserves the right to charge the Advertiser for advertising cancelled on less than 30 days notice.
Advertisers agree that pursuant to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), SBI may obtain from either a credit reporting agency or other credit providers: (a) personal credit information about the Advertiser and/or its directors for the purpose of assessing an Advertiser’s commercial credit application; and (b) a consumer credit report about the Advertiser for the purpose of collecting overdue payments relating to commercial credit owed by the Advertiser.
Advertisers understand and agree that the following actions constitute a new/additional advertisement under these terms and conditions: copying an advertisement; reposting an archived or deleted advertisement; extending an advertisement beyond 30 days; and refreshing any advertisement. Refreshing is the process of deleting and re-posting the same or substantially similar advertisement. Changes to the body of an advertisement and do not constitute a new advertisement, regardless of the method used to post the advertisement.
SBI may review advertisements prior to publication. SBI reserves the right to withdraw without notice to the Advertiser (at the option of SBI) any advertisement that may in SBI ‘s view be in breach of any of these terms and conditions or of any law or regulation including any anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation applicable in the State or Territory in which the Advertiser conducts business. SBI also reserves the right to reject or remove any advertisement from the Site for any reason.
SBI accepts no responsibility or liability for any errors and requires that Advertisers check their advertisements for errors as soon as they are placed on the Site(s). All reasonable efforts will be undertaken by SBI to promptly amend errors brought to SBI’s attention.
SBI reserves the right at all times without the need to have to provide any notice to Advertisers, to alter the functionality and appearance of its products and services available from the Site, where SBI believes changes are required in order to promote a consistent experience for users of the Site.
SBI will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these terms and conditions if such a delay or failure is due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Except to the extent that the law does not permit SBI to limit or exclude its liability, SBI shall not be liable to any Advertiser, user of the Site or any other person for any indirect or consequential losses whatsoever suffered by that Advertiser, user or person in connection with the Site and SBI’s liability for any direct losses whatsoever suffered by that Advertiser, user or person in connection with the Site is limited to [ ] in respect of each incident giving rise to the liability.
The Advertiser warrants that: (a) advertisements and other works posted on the Site do not breach the intellectual property rights of any third party; (b) where any photographs or pictures of an individual person or group of people are used, it has obtained permission to use that photograph or picture from the individual person of group of people concerned; (c) all files delivered to SBI will be free of viruses; (d) it will not use the Site for any illegal purpose; (e) that any advertisement it places on the Site will comply with all applicable laws and regulations including, without limitation, the Trade Practices Act (Cth), Fair Trading Acts (State) or equivalent legislation; (f) it will not to use the Site to post any pyramid scheme on the Site or ask or require any candidate to pay a fee, charge, cost or any money whatsoever to apply, or pursue any application, for any job advertised on the Site; and (g) it will not use any feature of the Site to send unsolicited commercial email to candidates, whether individually or as a group.
Advertisers are not permitted to insert links to an external website within the details of an advertisement or link to any external websites or externally hosted application forms without SBI ‘s express written approval. Such approval may be subject to specific terms and conditions.
Advertisers will indemnify SBI, its officers, employees and agents against all claims, actions, suits, liabilities, actual or contingent costs, damages and expenses incurred by SBI in connection with any breach of these terms and conditions by the Advertiser, any negligent act or omission by the Advertiser; or any actual or alleged breach by an Advertiser of any law, legislation, regulations, by-laws, ordinances or codes of conduct which occurs a consequence of the Advertiser’s advertisement appearing on the Site.
Advertisers must not release to the public any news release, advertising material, promotional material or any other form of publicity relating to SBI without SBI ‘s prior written approval.
SBI provides a service through which individuals may review employment opportunities. Advertisers acknowledge and agree that SBI does not vet job candidates or the representations (whether oral or in writing) made by them.
SBI provides a service through which individuals may review upcoming events. Advertisers acknowledge and agree that SBI does not vet event or the representations (whether oral or in writing) made by them.

To avoid doubt, SBI may review and approve any listing prior to it’s inclusion on the Site and may remove any listing which, in its absolute discretion, it considers to be inappropriate or unsuitable for inclusion.
Business Directory Advertisers
Upon registration with SBI, each advertiser may upload unlimited amounts of sports-related information into the business directory. This service is free of charge. To avoid doubt, SBI may review and approve any listing prior to it’s inclusion on the Site and may remove any listing which, in its absolute discretion, it considers to be inappropriate or unsuitable for inclusion.
From time to time, SBI may (in its absolute discretion) provide promotional offers relating to the Site by offering a promotional code to registered users. The terms of any such promotional offer will be as communicated by SBI at the time however any offer will (a) only apply for such period of time as SBI decides; and (b) will require users to subscribe to receiving emails from SBI.
These terms and conditions will be governed by the laws in the state of New South Wales, Australia and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of its Courts, its Appellate Courts and the jurisdiction of the Federal Court of Australia sitting in New South Wales.
If any part of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid, that part shall be treated as severed from the remainder of these terms and conditions which will continue to be valid and enforceable.
